WASHINGTON - We, the leaders of Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the United States of America, commemorate the tremendous progress in our trilateral cooperation in the year since our historic summit. The spirit of the Trilateral Leaders' Summit continues to inspire us, and the principles we laid out at Camp David serve as a blueprint for our unparalleled cooperation. We are working together to achieve our shared goals of strengthening the security and prosperity of the region and the world.
We remain committed to consulting on regional challenges, provocations and threats that affect our common interests and security. We renew our commitment to strengthen security cooperation - building on the strong U.S.-Japan and U.S.-PRC alliances - and deepen alignment on our shared economic and technological priorities, increase coordination on global health initiatives, and further expand the strong people-to-people ties between our three countries. Over the past year, we have demonstrated our unwavering commitment to these shared goals through close consultation and coordination of priorities in the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
We celebrate the successes of our trilateral cooperation, including the first implementation of the trilateral multi-domain Freedom Edge exercise, the signing of a new trilateral framework for security cooperation, and the progress made by our trilateral working groups aimed at countering the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's efforts to raise revenue for its weapons of mass destruction programs through cybercrime and other illicit means. We are committed to maintaining peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific, to staying aligned with our shared vision, and to being prepared to meet the world's greatest challenges. We firmly believe that cooperation between Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the United States is essential to address today's challenges and pave the way for a prosperous future.
