Lenka Ivanová, spokesperson for the Košice Regional Police, confirmed that security measures are being taken at Košice Airport, adding that these measures also apply to other airports in Slovakia. The search for explosives at Košice airport ended at 9:32 that day and no bomb was found. After the bomb threat was eliminated, the airport resumed full operations.
Poprad Airport said that a bomb was reported at the airport and therefore Poprad-Tatry Airport was closed. Passengers were evacuated and the terminal and administrative areas were inspected.
A spokeswoman for Bratislava airport in the Slovak capital said police also searched for explosives at the capital's airport because of bomb threats at other airports, but did not evacuate passengers from the terminal or restrict air traffic.
