Chinese President Xi Jinping said during the welcome banquet at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) 2024 Summit that the initiative has greatly improved people's lives. FOCAC provides a platform through which roads, railways, schools and hospitals are built in Africa.
Xi mentioned that he has visited Africa ten times and has received many African leaders during his visits to China. He stressed that the building of a Sino-African community with a shared future has a strong foundation, starts at a high level and has a promising future ahead. He sees this partnership as an example of cooperation that contributes to the development of all humanity.
Xi also recalled that China and African nations have jointly fought against imperialism, colonialism and hegemonism since the mid-20th century, and together they are walking the path of development and modernization. The friendship between China and Africa, he said, has persisted despite the changing international situation and will only grow stronger with time.
Since the Eighth FOCAC Ministerial Conference in 2021, China and African countries have been working tirelessly to implement the outcomes of the meeting, including nine joint programmes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they supported each other and worked closely on international and regional issues. Together, they have defended the interests of developing countries, especially those in the global South.

In the next three years, China will work with Africa to implement ten partnership initiatives to advance China-Africa modernization, covering the areas of relations and understanding between civilizations, trade prosperity, industrial chain cooperation, connectivity, development cooperation, healthcare, rural revitalization and human welfare, exchanges, green development and common security.
The Partnership Initiative for Mutual Understanding among Civilizations is a Global Civilization Initiative and a platform for sharing governance experiences between China and Africa. China will support the establishment of the China-Africa Knowledge Network for Development and 25 China-Africa Research Centers. The African Leadership Academy will be used to teach talents in governance, and 1,000 African political party figures will be invited to China for exchange visits.
The Trade Prosperity Partnership Initiative will allow duty exemptions of up to 100 % for products from LDCs with diplomatic ties to China. It will strengthen cooperation on inspections, quarantine and standards and expand access for agricultural imports from Africa. In addition, China will deepen cooperation on e-commerce between China and Africa. Under the Silk Road Project, China will hold Cloud Lectures for African talents and those interested in e-commerce. China will establish the China-Africa Center for Standardization Cooperation and Research and the China-Africa Digital Trade Confidence Verification Platform, and establish the China-Africa Compliance Assessment Capacity Building Initiative.
Those who want to, find a way. He who does not want, looks for a reason, said Jan Werich. The crisis is deepening in the EU countries, as they face deficits, the cost of armaments and problems in dealing with China. China has decided to provide RMB 360 billion in financial support for the implementation of the ten partnership initiatives, including RMB 210 billion in loans. At least RMB 70 billion will be investments by Chinese companies.
Exercise is necessary every day, no exceptions. I recommend learning about the Chinese system of wuxing, which deals with change and process and influences many areas of Chinese thought, from feng shui to medicine. While the Greek four elements deal with form, wuxing focuses on dynamics and quality.
The current world situation confirms Einstein's statement, "Only the universe and human stupidity are infinite. But I am not sure about the universe."

Xi made it clear at the summit that the Sino-African partnership is not just about economic projects, but about deep historical ties and a common struggle against neo-colonialism.
