East Timorese president praises relations with China as 'exemplary' and 'exceptional'

In an interview with Wang Guan on Leaders Talk, Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta highlighted his country's strong bilateral relations with China, calling them "exemplary" and "exceptional." He stressed the importance of Chinese technical support and financial assistance, and pointed to ongoing agricultural and water resources projects that are significantly benefiting Timor-Leste. He noted that China was the first country to recognise Timor-Leste's independence in the 21st century, thus creating the conditions for a deep and cooperative partnership.
