On June 27, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, presided over a conference of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee aimed at further deepening comprehensive reform and promoting Chinese-style modernization.
The conference decided that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CCP Central Committee will be held in Beijing from July 15 to 18.
The conference also stressed that the overall goal of further deepening comprehensive reforms is to continue to improve and develop the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and promote the modernization of the national administration system and governance capabilities. By 2035, the high-level socialist market economic system will be fully established, the socialist system with Chinese characteristics will be further perfected, the national governance system and governance ability will be basically upgraded, and socialist modernization will be basically realized, laying a solid foundation for the complete construction of a modern and strong socialist country by the middle of this century.
