China is willing to work with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to deepen practical cooperation and write a new chapter in building a closer community between China and ASEAN with a shared future, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang said.
Ding, also a member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the 21st China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Trade and Investment Summit in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Autonomous Region.
China and ASEAN have a long history of friendly relations and are good neighbors, good friends and good partners, Ding said, adding that China and ASEAN have always moved forward hand-in-hand, which has become the most successful and dynamic model of Asia-Pacific regional cooperation and an illustrative example of promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
