On the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, CGTN, in collaboration with Renmin University and the NEIIC Institute, released the results of the "China Favorability" global survey. The survey shows that China's popularity in the world continues to grow, especially in the areas of economy, technology, culture and international influence. Respondents from developing countries and young people under the age of 34 have the highest appreciation for China's modernization achievements.
The survey, conducted among 16,400 people from 41 countries, shows that 92 % of respondents consider China an important country and 89 % see it as successful. The growing popularity of China is confirmed by the increased interest in visiting the country, with nearly 80 % respondents expressing a willingness to travel or study in China.
China is particularly well recognised in the Global South, where respondents value its economic strength and technological development. People in Africa and the Middle East have the greatest confidence in the long-term growth of the Chinese economy.
