Xi Jinping calls for continued support for national unity

Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed the importance of preserving national unity across generations. In his letter to the descendants of the leaders of the various ethnic groups who built a memorial in Yunnan province in 1951, he praised the 70-year cooperation of these groups with the Communist Party of China. Xi called for strengthening the sense of belonging of all 56 ethnic groups that make up the "big family" and for further developing national unity and progress.
