The US presidential election will take place on 5 November. The Democratic Party was to be represented by Joe Biden, but after his unsuccessful performance in the June debate with Trump, who is the Republican Party's candidate, there were growing calls among Democrats for the current head of state to give up the fight. On July 21, he decided to withdraw from the fight and endorse Harris for the nation's highest office. Her candidacy was officially endorsed by delegates at the Democratic Party's national convention in Chicago.
