Last Wednesday, special cultural events were held in Ottawa, Canada, to celebrate the upcoming 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which falls on October 1. The "Written in the Sky: My China Story" series of events, launched by China Media Group (CMG) in March 2024, focuses on collecting personal stories related to China from around the world.
Chinese Ambassador to Canada Wang Di recalled that next year will mark the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Canada and 20 years of strategic partnership. He stressed that more Canadian friends are welcome to visit China and experience its development in the new era.
Sarah Kutulakos, Executive Director of the Canada-China Business Council, praised the friendly relations between the two countries and pointed out that cooperation between Canada and China is essential and will bring new impetus to the development of their relationship.
Christopher Black, a human rights lawyer, highlighted China's economic and social development as an example for other countries. Dan Donovan, editor-in-chief of Ottawa Life Magazine, then emphasized that the best way to experience China is to visit it in person and experience its fast-paced and hospitable people.
