He Lifeng, Politburo member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, vice premier and head of the central delegation, led a CPC delegation to visit the base of the Production and Construction Corps (KSPCC) in Shihezi yesterday afternoon.
The delegation first visited the KSPCC Museum in Xinjiang, where they learned in detail about the significant contributions of the KSPCC to local development, strengthening ethnic unity, maintaining social stability and protecting the national border. He Lifeng stressed the importance of President Xi Jinping's thoughts and said that it is necessary to draw strength from the 70-year history of the KSPCC for future progress, and encouraged the staff to make contributions to the development of Xinjiang.
Afterwards, the delegation visited the "Tian Je" company, where reports on technological innovation and industrial development of this company were presented. He Lifeng stressed the need to continue innovation and develop new production power in accordance with local conditions, as well as to accelerate the process of developing smart and green industry.
