On Saturday, October 5 (after the 11th plenary session of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia's Central Committee, where the Julius Fucik International Prizes were awarded and which was attended by DPRK Ambassador Zhu Won Chol), a rally was held at the corner of Petschek Palace in Prague to express clear opposition to the growing fascism in the world in any of its various forms.
"We call on all those who do not want to remain silent on the conflict in Ukraine, which has already cost hundreds of thousands of lives, who are against further killings in Palestine in the Gaza Strip, against the bombing of Lebanon and Syria, and who also refuse that the Czech Republic should be a colony of the EU, the West and especially the USA or any other state. invited to the assembly by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia Roman Blaško.
In his opening speech, the Chairman of the Arbitration Commission of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia Petr Mareš condemned the rise of fascist forces not only in our country, but also in Ukraine, Estonia and Lithuania. "The proof is the recent promotion of the fascist Azov."
Head of the Foreign Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia Vladimir Sedlacek informed those present about the Opinion of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia adopted in the morning: ""The Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, after a deep analysis of the escalating international situation, strongly demands that the Czech government immediately stop the supply of military material to Ukraine, stop supporting the prolongation of the conflict and contribute to a ceasefire and the start of peace negotiations.
Likewise, we demand an end to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, an end to the arbitrary Israeli incursion into Lebanese territory and the immediate withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanese territory.
Stop killing innocent Palestinians and Lebanese!"
Representative of the Communist Party in the Syrian Arab Republic and coordinator of the Czech and Arab Communist Parties throughout Europe Nizar Trabulsi said the return of fascism was actually kept secret, but publicly confirmed by the conflict in Ukraine and condemned "Israel's ongoing aggression against Lebanon, which follows a year of brutal Israeli aggression in the Palestinian Gaza Strip. Over 40 000 people, mostly women and children, have already fallen victim to it, and 110 000 are injured or missing. The Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court has requested that arrest warrants be issued for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but he calmly addresses the US and his speech is interrupted 55 times by a standing ovation. Yet Israel threatens to use a chemical or atomic bomb on Gaza; not even Hitler did that! Until when will the world be silent?"
Vice-Chairman of the KSČM Milan Krajca condemned the current right-wing anti-people Fialova government for supporting the Zelensky regime in the war in Ukraine and Israel in the wars in the Middle East instead of solving the problems of Czech citizens.
Head of the Section of Professional Support for Work with Youth, Students and Young Families Petra Proksanova promptly responded to the act of young men who "accidentally" passed by, verbally attacked the participants and threw a smoke bomb among them (at 13:15), which was immediately dealt with by the Police of the Czech Republic. "It is a great disgrace to our country that it is possible in this day and age for some young men to insult those who gather at this symbolic place to condemn wars."
At the end he spoke again Petr Mareš and for the Trade Union Association of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, as a member of the Central Committee, declared that the trade unionists do not want war. "War is an invention of the powerful! Fascism is an invention of the powerful and the stupid who don't even know what it means! Stop the war rampage in Ukraine and the Middle East! War is death!"
