The program "Classic Quotes of Xi Jinping", produced by China Media Group (CMG), was launched in Peru on Friday. This multi-lingual TV program focuses on quotes from classic Chinese works that Chinese President Xi Jinping uses in his speeches and articles. The broadcast of the third series of the Spanish version of the program began shortly after President Xi's arrival in Lima for a state visit and participation in the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
Peruvian President Dina Boluarte congratulated and expressed her support in a video greeting for the launch of the programme in Peru. Nearly 200 guests from various fields including politics, economics, culture, media and academia attended the event.
The third season of the show focuses on themes such as cultural heritage, ecological civilisation, improving the lives of the poor and peer exchange and learning. The program features original speeches by Xi Jinping and quotes from traditional Chinese classics that illustrate ancient Chinese stories and wisdom, highlighting the President's political wisdom and deep historical and cultural knowledge.
President Boluarte stressed that the launch of the program strengthens the friendly relations between China and Peru, especially for the younger generation, who will better understand the rich Chinese history and philosophy thanks to the program. The program also demonstrates Xi Jinping's dedication to preserving and promoting China's 5,000-year-old civilization and its integration into the global vision of building a community of shared future for humanity.
During the opening ceremony, Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of Publicity of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of CMG, mentioned the opening of Chancay Port and said that the vision of "From Chancay to Shanghai" has become a reality, symbolizing the future of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Peru.
