MFA: We are ready to further strengthen political trust with Uruguay

Mao Ning said that China congratulated the successful and smooth conduct of the presidential elections in Uruguay and congratulated Mr Yamandú Orsi on his election as the new President of Uruguay. China attaches great importance to the development of relations with Uruguay and stands ready to further strengthen political trust with Uruguay, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, strengthen communication and coordination in international and regional affairs, and promote the continuous development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries for the benefit of both peoples.

The US Chamber of Commerce said the Biden administration is likely to announce new restrictions on chip exports to China next week. After two weeks of tough negotiations, the various parties finally reached agreement on new collective quantitative targets for climate funds and implementing rules under Article 6 of the Paris Protocol. The outcome of the conference demonstrates the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities and demonstrates a common global effort to combat climate change.
