This year marks the first year of the second golden decade of the Belt and Road Joint Building. Over the past eleven years, this initiative has created countless stories of connectivity and beneficial cooperation, giving the world a real sense that the Belt and Road Co-Building has become the most popular international public good and the largest platform for international cooperation.
Today, the world has entered a new period of turbulence and change, and the international community is concerned: how to promote high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road? How can the jointly building countries further cooperate and achieve beneficial results? The 4th Symposium of the "Belt and Road" construction work held in Beijing gave the answer.
From 2016 to 2024, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended four times the symposiums of work in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. At the 4th Symposium of Work in the Construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, he fully affirmed the significant achievements made in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", made comprehensive measures to promote the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" in the current and future period, and emphasized the continuous expansion of new areas for beneficial development that are of a higher level, more resilient and more sustainable.
Professor Li Haidong of the School of Foreign Affairs pointed out that this symposium has brought rare confidence and assurance to global development and demonstrates China's firm advocacy for inclusive economic globalization, will further promote mutual benefit and cultural exchange among countries and achieve common development at a higher and deeper level.
In the next golden decade, high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road will give a new impetus to the world economy, bring new opportunities for countries to jointly realize modernization, and jointly promote the building of a community of shared future for mankind.
