With the BRICS Summit approaching in 2024, CGTN's survey shows that the majority of the world's Internet users believe that the BRICS cooperation mechanism can contribute to global economic recovery and complex global governance. The BRICS mechanism was established in response to the growing influence of emerging market and developing economies, and since its inception, it has created a multi-level and comprehensive cooperation framework.
According to the survey, 92.87 % of respondents consider BRICS as a tool to ensure cooperation among the "Global South", while 94.2 % of respondents perceive the growing influence of BRICS. 94.1 1 % believe that BRICS can bring a new impetus to the recovery of the world economy.
The survey also shows that 89.6 % respondents agree that BRICS contributes to building a fairer, more democratic and more reasonable international order. 91.65 % believe that China's experience and development philosophy provide important inspiration for emerging markets in achieving modernization.
18,961 internet users from around the world participated in the survey over a 24-hour period via CGTN's English, Spanish, Arabic, French and Russian platforms.
