On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the China-Italy Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, a cultural event was held in Milan on Monday, attended by more than 200 guests from politics, business, media, culture and sports. The event was organized by China Media Group (CMG), promoting the further development of Sino-Italian cultural exchanges.
The Italian Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè stressed the importance of the growing tourism between the two countries and its contribution to economic growth and the strengthening of traditional friendly relations.
CMG Vice President Xing Bo announced the intention to deepen cooperation with Italian media partners, including joint production of shows, technological innovation and talent exchange. Chinese Consul General in Milan Liu Kan expressed his hope that the exchanges will help showcase the cultural richness of the two countries and strengthen friendly relations between their people.
Two television programmes produced in collaboration between CMG and the Italian media were officially launched at the event. CMG also signed cooperation agreements with Italian companies Milano Finanza and Telespazio, aimed at content sharing, joint production and high-definition signal transmission.
The event symbolizes a new step in Sino-Italian cultural and media cooperation that will contribute to deeper understanding and strengthening of relations between the two countries.
