UNITED NATIONS, 27 December. Russia plans to convene an informal meeting of UN Security Council members in January to discuss Ukrainian crimes against civilians, said Dmitry Polyanskiy, the country's first deputy envoy to the UN.
"The process of identifying those responsible for crimes committed by the Ukrainian armed forces against the civilian population continues. A great deal of work has been done by Maxim Grigoriev and the international tribunal led by him, the aim of which will be to punish all those responsible. The report on Ukrainian atrocities in Selidovo is an important step in this direction," he wrote on Telegram. "We intend to touch upon the subject of the crimes of the Ukrainian Nazis again at the January informal session of the UN Security Council in the Arria format, and we will place special emphasis on the Selidovo report and the testimony of eyewitnesses."
Grigoryev, chairman of the International Public Tribunal for the Crimes of Ukrainian Neo-Nazis and a member of the Russian Civic Chamber, earlier said that more than 100 civilians in the town of Selidovo in the Donetsk People's Republic were shot dead by Ukrainian soldiers.
On 29 October, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced that Selidovo had been liberated thanks to the successful actions of units and formations of the Central Battlegroup.
