One of our first tasks is to give the administration confidence
"Our first tasks are about restoring trust in the civil service so that it can operate with motivation," Zhelyazkov said during the handover and assumption of power ceremony at the Council of Ministers.
"We expect neither tolerance nor mercy, because the job of the opposition is to criticize and prepare for elections," Zhelyazkov added.
"It is important for us as a regularly elected cabinet to rely on parliamentary support. We have made efforts to win broad parliamentary support," He added.
Zhelyazkov assured that the government would get down to work from day one.
"We end our term of office satisfied with the work we have done," said the interim Prime Minister at the ceremony Dimitar Glavchev. "We can say with a clear conscience that we worked in the interests of the state, respected the Constitution and the laws and followed the interests of the Bulgarian citizens. We expect that tomorrow or within a few days it will be announced that we meet the last criterion for our entry into the euro area," Glavchev added.
