The heads of Algeria's Sonatrach and France's Total-Energies discussed strengthening their partnership

Rachid Hashishi and Patrick Pouyanné agree to identify opportunities for cooperation, particularly in the field of oil production
RABAT, 23 October. /TASS/. Rachid Hashishi, CEO of Algeria's state oil and gas company Sonatrach, met with Patrick Pouyanne, head of French oil and gas company TotalEnergies, in Algeria.

The parties discussed the state of the partnership between the two companies, reviewed the progress of the projects and the prospects for strengthening the partnership, Algerian Radio reported.

During the meeting, Hachishi and Pouyanné agreed to "identify partnership opportunities, particularly in the field of oil production, both in Algeria and at the international level.

The head of TotalEnergies also met with Minister of Energy and Mines Mohammed Arkab. During the talks, they discussed issues of cooperation in the natural gas and LNG sectors, prospects for cooperation on structural projects in Algeria and abroad.
