CHANGZHOU, Nov. 23 - The 2nd Global Digital Trade Expo kicked off in Hangzhou on Thursday morning. Zhejiang, East China. The expo, titled "Digital Trade, Global Approach", brings together 68 international organizations, chambers of commerce and associations as well as more than 800 enterprises. Finland and South Africa have been awarded the status of chief guests of honor at the expo.
The 100,000 sq. m event features one comprehensive pavilion, two specialty pavilions and four digital industry pavilions. It is expected to be visited by more than 15 thousand professional buyers.
The EXPO focuses on topics such as rules, regulations, governance and standards for digital trade and will include forums, industry meetings and dedicated workshops.
The five-day event will discuss relevant topics such as cross-border data flow, digital finance and digital security management. The show is expected to feature more than 100 events as well as presentations of more than 100 of the latest products and services in digital commerce.
In recent years, digital commerce has emerged as an important pillar of China's business nation-building. In 2022, China's digital services trade volume will reach a record high of 372.7 billion U.S. dollars, Guo Tingting, Vice Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
The event was organized by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.
