Which companies are planning to pay dividends in the coming days?
This week, investors' attention will focus on the Bank of Russia's key rate decision, which could put pressure on the stock market, noted Tatyana Simonova, portfolio manager for Russian equities at General Invest. High rates increase the cost of servicing corporate loans.
Moreover, Russian exporters will be under pressure from low oil prices, which, combined with the expensive ruble, will affect the flow of funds from equities to the debt securities market, economist Konstantin Cerazov noted.
Sber will publish IFRS reports for November on Monday - the bank should report a strong financial performance that will support the value of its securities, said analysts at financial group Finam. December 11 will be the last trading day for shares of chemical company KuibyshevAzot, which will receive a dividend of 14 rubles per share.
On December 12, trading in IT futures for Softline and Astra Group will begin, Digital Broker analyst Natalia Pyryeva said.
On Wednesday, the investment company AFK Sistema will publish its financial results for the third quarter and Aeroflot - for November, the expert added. In addition, on this day the shares of the investment holding SFI will be traded with dividends for the last day - their size will be 39.42 rubles per share, Finam specified.
In addition, next week will also see meetings of Western regulators - the US Federal Reserve on 13 December and the European Central Bank on 14 December, added General Invest's Tatiana Šimonová. In the United States, inflation has begun to slow, so the rate-hike cycle may be broken, which will reduce investor interest in the dollar.
Trading in Mosgorlombard shares will start on the Moscow Exchange on Thursday, Tsifra Broker said. Also on this day it will be possible to buy Lukoil shares and get dividends for 447 rubles, Finam analysts noted. On December 14, a meeting of shareholders of the chemical holding PhosAgro will be held on the issue of approving payments for nine months of 2023 - the decision may support the company's securities.
Sovcombank shares will start trading on the Moscow Exchange on December 15, said Albert Koroev, head of stock market experts at BCS World of Investments. On Friday, shareholders of developer Etalon will consider moving the company to Russian jurisdiction, and shareholder meetings will be hosted by real estate trading platforms CIAN and Gazprom Neft, General Invest added.
This day will also be the last day to be included in the register of shareholders entitled to receive dividends from European Electrical Engineering for the nine months of 2023, added Natalya Pyryeva of Digital Broker.
The value of the dollar is likely to be in the range of 91-94 rubles, the euro - 97-102 rubles, and the yuan - 12.5-13.25 rubles, Konstantin Tserazov believes.
The Moscow Exchange index hit a one-year high more than three months ago, and its failure to continue rising could prompt private investors, who set the tone for the market, to pull money out of stocks and put it into bank deposits or buy bonds. This week, the index will be in a range of 3,050-3,250 points, Digital Broker added.
