Palestinian death toll from Israeli strikes on Gaza rises to 22,600

GAZA CITY, Jan. 5, 2024 (Xinhua) -- People mourn for the victims after an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah on Jan. 5. The number of Palestinian casualties from Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip has risen to 22,600 since the beginning of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the Gaza Health Ministry said Friday.
