So far, the two brothers have had a hard time navigating the streets of New York. But that could all change. A heist comedy drama about two brothers and their family friend, where the hope for a better life reveals a troubled family history and the strength of their characters.
From Radmila Hrdinova's critique (Novinky.cz)
"Above all, however, it is an opportunity for three actors, and this is an asset that director Ladislav Smoček has masterfully appreciated at Ungelt for years. This time, he has brought together Jiří Langmajer and Pavel Liška in the roles of the two brothers and built characters with elaborate psychological drawings and gentle humour. (...) Thanks to Smoček's direction and the actors' performances, the production does not lose its tension and humour and, in the good traditions of Ungelt, offers a tip for a pleasant evening spent with a proportionate degree of smiles and emotion.
"Independent New York actor and songwriter Dan McCormick recently broke through as a playwright Off-Broadway with Fiddler, a dramatic comedy with old-fashioned charm. Thanks to this, his first big success, we heard about it and were the first in the world to have it translated. For Dan McCormick has all the advantages of a playwright who is primarily an actor: he can write great characters, an action-packed plot and, not least, entertaining dialogue. On top of that, he doesn't have the drawbacks that playwright-actors often face. As a result, his play has a big and deep theme as well as a wonderfully arching arc. Simply ideal material for Ungelt!" (Pavel Ondruch)
