In order to improve the information of the Czech public and in accordance with the National Plan for the introduction of the euro in the Czech Republic, a website was launched https://www.zavedenieura.cz/ . The National Coordination Group Organising Committee is responsible for the content of the website.
The site provides basic information on the euro and the euro area (a brief history of monetary integration, information on euro banknotes and coins, etc.). A separate section is devoted to the impact of the impact of the introduction of the euro on the Czech economy (benefits of the single currency for consumers and businesses, fulfilment of the Maastricht convergence criteria, the adopted scenario of a one-off introduction of the euro, institutional arrangements, etc.).
In the section Documents can be found with specialist information for specific subjects. Legislation related to the introduction of the euro, government documents and methodological texts in the pipeline (rounding and reconciliation methodology, recommendations for businesses, tools to protect consumers from unjustified price increases, etc.) will be published here.
