BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- China advocates an equal and orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization that benefits all, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Thursday. An equal multipolar world means equal rights, opportunities and rules for every nation, Wang said at a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing annual session of China's national legislature.
A certain or few powers should not monopolize international affairs and countries should not be categorized according to their so-called strength, he said.
"It's unacceptable for those with the bigger fist to have the final say, and it's certainly unacceptable for some countries to have to be at the table while others can only be on the menu," Wang said.
An orderly multipolar world means that everyone should abide by the goals and principles of the UN Charter, he noted.
"Multipolarity does not mean creating blocks, fragmentation or disruption. All countries must act within the framework of the UN-centered international system," Wang told reporters.
For him, universally beneficial globalisation means a bigger economic pie and a fairer distribution.
Inclusive globalisation means encouraging countries to pursue a development path appropriate to their national circumstances, avoiding the adoption of a single model of development and rejecting unilateralism and protectionism that seek selfish gains at the expense of others, Wang noted.
China is ready to work with other countries to make global governance fairer and more equitable, he said.
