Updated projection of the composition of the new European Parliament based on final and provisional results in 26 countries and pre-election data for one country.
The above projection is based on the final results from 12 EU Member States: Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Slovakia;
Preliminary results from 14 countries - Bulgaria, Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden;
and the election data for Ireland. The EU-wide turnout was 50.8 %.
Estimates of the composition of Parliament shall be based on the structure of the outgoing Parliament and its political groups, without prejudice to the composition of the incoming Parliament at its constituent sitting.
All national parties or movements with no current official affiliation that are not part of the "unaffiliated" in the current Parliament are included in the holding category "other", regardless of their political orientation.
