China's Shenzhou 18 crew performs first activity outside the space station

According to the China Space Agency, at 6.58 p.m. Beijing time on May 28, after approximately 8.5 hours of activities outside the space station (EVA), the Shenzhou 18 astronaut crew worked closely together to perform tasks such as installing equipment to protect the station from space debris and inspecting emergency equipment and facilities, with the cooperation and support of robotic arms and ground researchers.

Astronauts Jie Kuang-fu and Li Kuang-su returned safely to the Wen-tian Experimental Module and their activities outside the space station were a complete success.

As planned, a large number of scientific and technological experiments will be carried out during the Shenzhou 18 mission.
