Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov jointly led a new round of talks on strategic stability between China and Russia.
The two sides discussed in depth the current situation of global strategic stability and multilateral military control and reached a broad consensus.
Both sides agreed that the current global strategic stability faces serious challenges. Russia and China, as permanent members of the UN Security Council, will further strengthen strategic cooperation, firmly uphold multilateral principles, actively maintain the authority and effectiveness of the International Agreement and Mechanism on Military Control, and thus contribute to maintaining global strategic stability and promoting world peace and security.
