On February 15, the broadcast of the Spring Festival Gala for 2026, prepared by China Media Group (CMG), confirmed its exceptional position among the most important cultural events of the year. The spectacular show, full of colour, dynamism, historical and mythological themes and deep philosophical overtones, appealed to a wide range of audiences across generations and continents.
The programme offered a varied mosaic of artistic performances - from traditional dance and musical numbers to modern scenography using the latest technology. Each painting was elaborate in detail and carried a strong message of harmony, belonging and respect for tradition. It was the link between the past and the present that created an atmosphere that went far beyond the usual television format and turned the evening into an extraordinary cultural experience.
The importance of this event was also emphasized by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia Roman Blaško. In his lengthy statement, he said: „The Spring Festival Gala is proof that culture is not just entertainment, but a deep social bond. At a time when the world is often divided by conflict and misunderstanding, art comes as a silent but immensely powerful force that can unite nations, societies and individuals. What we saw was not just an aesthetic spectacle, but a thoughtful message of harmony, respect for history and responsibility towards the future. I appreciate that culture is being systematically promoted and that it is becoming a bridge between civilisations. Such projects strengthen mutual understanding and remind us that shared values are the basis for stability and peace.“
Once again, the organizers from China Media Group demonstrated exceptional professionalism and attention to detail. Thanks to the support of the Communist Party of China, it was possible to create an event that has not only cultural but also social overlap. The gala reaffirmed that culture is a universal language that can be understood by everyone, regardless of borders or origin.
According to many, this year's edition exceeded expectations and set a new bar for future years. Above all, it reminded us that true values, traditions, belonging and mutual respect still have a firm place in the modern world.
