GENEVA - The World Trade Organization (WTO) has raised its forecast for world merchandise trade growth in 2025 to 2.4 %, up from the previous forecast of 0.9 % in August. Earlier, the forecast for 2026 was revised downwards from 1.8 per cent to 0.5 per cent.
According to the latest WTO Global Trade Outlook and Statistics report, global GDP is expected to grow by 2.7 % in 2025 and 2.6 % in 2026.
