China Media Group (CMG) has held its second dress rehearsal for the anticipated Spring Festival 2025 Gala, which will be broadcast worldwide on January 28, Chinese New Year's Eve.
The second rehearsal showed significant improvements in original songs, dances and innovative performances. Transitions between numbers were smoother, indicating a well-coordinated and polished production.
This year's gala boasts an impressive stage design in the shape of a "ruyi" - a traditional Chinese symbol of good luck - which connects the main stage to the audience area, creating an interactive experience for all participants and the audience at home.
For the first time, the gala will use cutting-edge technology, including virtual reality and glasses-free 3D projections. To ensure greater inclusivity, the gala will also be broadcast for the first time with barrier-free access for more than 45 million viewers with visual and hearing impairments.
