A cultural event organized by the China Media Group (CMG) and the All-Russia State Television and Radio Corporation (VGTRK) was held in Kazan, Russia, on Tuesday to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.
In his speech, CMG President Shen Haixiong recalled that this year is not only the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, but also the 75th anniversary of Sino-Russian diplomatic relations and the first year of cultural cooperation between the two countries. He stressed that relations between the two countries are at an all-time high thanks to the leadership of both sides, and CMG plans to further deepen cooperation with Russian media partners.
VGTRK CEO Oleg Dobrodeyev said that the two media companies will work together to create content in the fields of journalism, television and film, thus promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.
The event also included the opening of the Russian leg of CMG's "Journey of Civilizations: Meeting Liang-chu" exhibition as part of the 2024 World Tour.
