NEW YORK - American entrepreneur and celebrity Elon Musk expects unmanned Starship flights to Mars to take place within two years.
"The first Starship spacecraft will launch to Mars in two years when the next window for Earth-to-Mars transmission opens. These will be unmanned to test the reliability of landing on Mars intact. If these landings go well, then the first manned flights to Mars will be in four years," wrote on the social network X.
"From then on, the number of flights will grow exponentially with the goal of building a self-sufficient city in about 20 years," Musk added.
