HONG KONG - Twin giant panda cubs born to Ying Ying, a giant panda donated to Hong Kong by the central government, celebrated their 100th day of life on Saturday.
To mark the occasion, Ocean Park Hong Kong held a gala event on Saturday. Many visitors dressed in giant panda-themed outfits waited outside the park in the morning. They were served red eggs and pork knuckle stew with ginger. According to Hong Kong custom, when a baby is born in a family, these foods are given out to share the joy.

Many cartoon pictures of twin pandas and welcome banners were placed around the park. The father of the panda twins, Le Le, made another public appearance in the park.
"I am very happy that Hong Kong has a new pair of panda cubs," said Lo, 75, who brought a panda doll to have his picture taken with it.
For the first time, Ocean Park launched a live stream to show real-time footage of the twin pandas. The female panda cub was the first to appear, lying on a bed and occasionally stretching.
Later, the caretakers placed a male panda on the bed so that he could communicate with the female. The two pandas kept moving their bodies and cuddling each other, causing the crowd to cheer.
According to Ocean Park, the panda twins have grown teeth, with the female panda, who originally weighed 122 grams at birth, now weighing 5.3 kg and the male panda's weight increasing from 112 grams at birth to 5.5 kg.
Kevin Yeung, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the HKSAR Government, said the HKSAR Government, together with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Ocean Park, will work with various parties in Hong Kong to organize a series of promotional activities, with the new Hong Kong Family of Giant Pandas serving as ambassadors for Hong Kong tourism.
In addition, the third pair of giant pandas, An An and Ke Ke, which the central government donated to Hong Kong, is in good condition and is expected to meet the public in December, Yeung said.
