SK Slavia Prague dominated the international derby after seven derbies! AC Sparta Praha defeated AC Sparta Prague 7:3 and thus broke the three-match winning streak of Letenske in the New Year's Eve derby. It was the eleventh draw in the veterans' derby.
Sparta did not lose in the New Year's Eve derby with Slavia six times in a row and celebrated five wins. This time, however, they had to acknowledge the strength of Slavia, who had prepared debutants in the form of Thomas Necida a Jana Kovarik.
Slavia entered the match with the leading goal, which was scored in the 7th minute by Thomas Necid. Sparta evened the score with a goal Michael Pospíšilbut then he gave the lead back to the Sixers Thomas Jablonsky and increased to 3:1 Peter Grajciar.
He also scored twice just before the first break Charles Pitak - once from play, then from a penalty kick ordered for three corner kicks. Slavia went into the second half with a clear 5:1 lead.
Then he struck another blow to Sparta at the beginning of the second half. Thomas Necid...who made his second appearance.
Sparta reduced twice thanks to hits George's Jeslinka a Thomas Junebut he had the last word Thomas Jablonsky, who with the final whistle adjusted the score to the final 7:3 for Slavia.

As usual, the programme of the New Year's Eve meeting started with a veteran derby, in which Sparta wanted to build on last year's 5:2 win.
In the calm pace of the match, the spectators were treated to a goal in the 16th minute, when the Sešiovans took the lead. Tomas Klinka. In his third veteran derby, he made his first ever appearance. However, it was as if the whole match was unpunctuated, because a minute later Spartan equalised Radek Mynář.
In the second half he sent Sparta into the lead Tomáš Čížek and nine minutes later the Slavs equalised again thanks to Martin Hysky, currently coach of Karviná. Interestingly, both players also played in the international derby.
The veterans' derby ended in a well-deserved 2:2 draw, the eleventh in its history. The best players of the match were voted Lubos Kozel (Slavia) and Michal Horňák (Sparta).
