PRAGUE - Czech hockey players will be able to enjoy the celebration of winning the world championship title with fans on Prague's Old Town Square today. The press department of Czech Hockey informed about it. The event is scheduled to start at 5 pm.
In the past, the Old Town Square was the traditional place to welcome and celebrate with the hockey players after their great triumphs. Among other things, the Nagano Olympic team enjoyed their victories there. People could also watch Sunday's final, in which the Czechs beat the Swiss 2-0, on a big screen.
"It's always played for the fans. And when there are fans like that, it's a huge motivation for everyone: the players, the coaches, the management team, just everyone. We are very happy for the support and I think the guys felt it," said coach Radim Rulík.
