On Thursday, China Media Group (CMG) unveiled a new series of cultural products inspired by the 2026 Spring Festival Gala and officially revealed the mascots for the Year of the Horse gala. This project combines traditional Chinese culture with modern design to create a visually striking collection that is sure to appeal to the general public.
The new range includes ceramic products, decorative items and collectibles that transform classic artistic motifs into contemporary forms. The products are based on traditional craftsmanship, but also reflect today's aesthetics and lifestyle, making them an attractive addition to modern homes.
However, the main attraction is the mascots of the Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Horse. The four spirited horses bear names inspired by the Chinese saying „Galloping steed, Onward unstoppable“, which is also the central theme of the upcoming gala evening. According to the creators, the symbolism of speed, determination and unstoppable progress is intended to express the spirit of the times and an optimistic outlook for the future.
The visual design of the mascots is based on traditional Chinese depictions of horses, which have been associated with strength, success and vitality for centuries. At the same time, however, their design incorporates distinctive elements of contemporary design, giving them a fresh, dynamic look that appeals to today's audience.
With this project, CMG once again confirms its commitment to transferring its rich cultural heritage into a modern form and giving it new life through major media events such as the Spring Festival Gala.
