Guided feedings and meetings - take place on a daily basis. Visit the animals when they are most active and discover interesting facts about their lives. Encounters with your favourite animals, accompanied by engaging narratives, take place throughout the day - just take your pick! The outdoor programme takes place only in good weather.

4 Aug (NO) Zooschool for graduates of the course on Get rid of phobias
Many of us suffer from an irrational fear of certain animals - snakes or spiders, for example - as adults. It is scientifically proven that phobias are largely learned and can be alleviated. Experienced tutors will introduce you to the feared creatures, explaining and gradually introducing them in an attempt to replace the negative feelings with a positive experience for later life.

Five days full of experiences and knowledge. The participants of the camps will gain a lot of information about zoology, animal husbandry, nature conservation or ecology. They will experience the work of feeders, keepers or learn how important it is to take care of the comfort and living standards of animals kept in zoos. There will be thematic and physical games, creative activities and a thorough tour of the zoo grounds, including visits to the animals' facilities and meetings with the keepers.

Celebrate World Elephant Day with us and don't miss a visit to the unique Valley of the Elephants exhibition complex, where you will be amazed by Asian culture.

The tour takes about 30-40 minutes and is free with a valid zoo ticket. The capacity of one group is 20 people, for tours it is necessary to register in advance by e-mail: program@zoopraha.cz. Due to the specific environment, the tour is unfortunately not possible with a stroller or a dog. The elephants will be in their outdoor enclosures for the duration of the tours.

Valley of the Elephants
10.00 - 18.00 Making paper from elephant dung
Elephants are often depicted in art and culture as symbols of strength, wisdom and majesty. In Indian culture they are associated with the god Ganesha, but they appear in many forms and contexts across the world. So come and create your own elephant art in celebration of International Elephant Day! You can visit our paper mill in the lower grounds where you will be able to make handmade paper from elephant dung and then decorate it using a range of art techniques.
