MOSCOW, 13 September. Russia's central bank confirms the resumption of consultations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the bank's chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina said at a press conference after a meeting of the bank's board of directors on the key rate.
"Regarding consultations with the IMF, yes, we will conduct them. It is, so to speak, a common and permanent practice of all IMF members. I remind you that the IMF brings together 190 countries," the head of the Russian Central Bank said.
Earlier it was revealed that Ksenia Yudayeva, former First Vice President and Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Russia, may take the position of Executive Director representing Russia at the IMF. Nabiullina noted that the government will nominate a candidate for the position.
"This has been agreed with the Russian Central Bank and all subsequent decisions must be implemented," she said.
