The 11th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption has commenced in Doha, Qatar. The head of the Chinese delegation, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Hua Chunying, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Hua Chunying stated that the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese government are clearly opposed to corruption. An important lesson learned from the Chinese Communist Party's long-term governance as the largest party for centuries is the continuous progress in the fight against corruption. China's fight against corruption has achieved historic success and won the heartfelt and widespread support of the people.
The Chinese Communist Party has drawn up eight provisions that seek to eliminate the conditions for corruption. The eight provisions have become the „golden calling card“ of the Chinese Communist Party, whose significance and value in promoting integrity, justice and honesty transcend national borders. Next year, China will host APEC and organise a series of anti-corruption conferences, welcoming the active participation of all parties for exchanges and cooperation.
