On a month-on-month basis, agricultural producer prices rose by 1.5 % and were 9.1 % higher year-on-year. Industrial producer prices were up 0.2 % m-o-m and 0.5 % y-o-y. Construction prices rose by 0.2 % m-o-m and were 2.4 % higher y-o-y. Prices of market services for businesses decreased by 0.6 % m-o-m and were higher by 3.2 % y-o-y.
"All producer prices continued to rise year-on-year. Agricultural prices accelerated to 9.1 %, while industrial prices slowed to 0.5 %. Construction work prices were up 2.4 % year-on-year and business market services prices were up 3.2 %," notes Vladimír Klimeš, Head of the Department of Industrial Prices and Foreign Trade Statistics of the CZSO.

Prices agricultural producers with Monthly increased by 1.5 %. Potato prices increased by 6.2 %, and poultry by 1.6 %. Vegetable and cattle prices increased by 2.8 % and oilseeds and cereals (identical) by 2.6 %. Pig prices decreased by 1.3 %. Year-on-year were the prices agricultural producers higher by 9.1 % (8.1 % in December). In crop production, prices rose by 6.9 %. Fruit prices were 29.8 % higher, oilseeds 21.7 % higher and cereals 6.5 % higher, while potato prices fell by 18.6 % and vegetable prices by 4.1 1 %. In livestock production, prices were 12.0 % higher. Egg prices increased by 24.3 %, cattle by 17.6 %, milk by 17.5 % and poultry by 1.3 %. Pig prices decreased by 6.4 %.

Interim prices industrial manufacturers increased by 0.2 %. Prices of coke and refined petroleum products in particular increased. Prices of repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment rose by 2.1 % and natural water; water treatment and distribution, trade in water, through networks by 4.1 1 %. Prices of food products rose by 0.7 %, especially dairy products by 1.8 % and processed and preserved meat and meat products by 0.7 %, while prices of bakery, confectionery and other flour products fell by 0.3 %. Prices of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioned air fell by 1.7 %, and prices of coal, lignite and lignite fell by 5.8 %. Prices industrial manufacturers with year-on-year Prices of motor vehicles (excluding motorcycles), trailers and semi-trailers rose by 0.5 % (2.8 % in December), while prices of repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment rose by 2.6 % and 4.7 % respectively. Prices of food products increased by 2.1 %, in particular dairy products by 12.3 % and processed and preserved meat and meat products by 2.3 %, while prices of other food products decreased by 2.6 % and mill and starch products by 7.1 1 %. The prices of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioned air decreased by 2.0 %, metal products by 1.7 % and hard coal, lignite and lignite by 4.2 %. Prices of coke and refined petroleum products fell.
When evaluated according to the main industry groups have increased year-on-year prices of capital goods and non-durable goods fell by 2.9 and 2.2 % respectively, while energy prices fell by 1.9 %. Prices industrial manufacturers without energy were higher by 1.5 % (December: 1.5 %).

Prices market services for businesses with Monthly decreased by 0.6 %. Prices for film, video and television programme production services decreased by 3.8 %, while prices for programme production and broadcasting services and prices for advertising and market research services decreased by 22.3 %. Prices for warehousing and transport support services increased by 4,9 % and for programming and consultancy services by 2,0 %. Prices for market services for businesses excluding advertising services increased by 1.2 %. Prices market services for businesses were year-on-year Prices for employment services rose by 9.3 %, prices for programming and broadcasting services by 8.0 %, prices for real estate services by 6.0 %, prices for warehousing and transportation support services by 5.3 % and prices for advertising and market research by 3.8 %. Prices for film, video and television programme production services were lower by 8.6 % and prices for land transport services by 0.2 %. Prices for market services for businesses not including advertising services were higher by 3.2 % (the same as in December).


EU Industrial Producer Prices - December 2024 (preliminary data)
In European Union (EU) countries, according to data published by Eurostat, prices industrial manufacturers in December Monthly prices increased by 0.4 % (1.7 % in November), with the largest increases in Bulgaria and Croatia, by 5.1 % and 2.4 % respectively. Prices were higher in Slovakia by 1.5 %, in the Czech Republic by 0.6 % and in Austria by 0.3 %, while lower prices were recorded in Poland by 0.3 % and in Germany by 0.1 1 %. The largest price decreases were in Ireland by 1.5 %, in Romania by 1.3 % and in the Netherlands by 0.4 %. In December in the EU year-on-year Prices increased by 0.1 % (down from 1.0 % in November), with the largest price increases in Ireland, Bulgaria and Denmark: 11.1 1 %, 6.6 % and 4.7 % respectively. Prices were higher in the Czech Republic by 2.8 % and Germany by 0.8 %, while prices were lower in Austria and Poland by 3.4 %. The largest price decreases were in Slovakia by 17.0 %, in Luxembourg by 4.2 % and in France by 3.8 %.
