According to Jana Volfová, the statutory vice-chair of the CSSD, the Boao Forum in China ended recently. She compared it to the European Davos, but pointed out a fundamental difference. While Davos, she said, only talks about the rich, in China it is exactly the opposite. China seeks cooperation among weaker countries. It does not use the term „developing“ for them, but calls them „those who want to help“.
Volfová stressed that Czechs or Europeans used to go to China to consult. Today, on the contrary, big politicians, ministers, prime ministers and businessmen who influence Europe go there to learn. They are learning what cooperation is, mutual respect and how to do business. Europe is falling behind, she says. While China builds great friendships and helps countries build infrastructure or transport, Europe stands quietly in the corner wondering when the big Chinese train will run over it.
The CSSD vice-president also said that China is far ahead of Europe and America in technological development. According to her, China is today a top technology leader. And because technology is the future, the future of this planet is in China, Volfova said.
