MOSCOW, March 15 /TASS/. More than 100 companies have started their operations in Cuba over the past year, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said during the 21st session of the Russian-Cuban intergovernmental commission on trade, economic and scientific and technical cooperation.
"Over the past year, more than 100 Russian companies from various economic sectors, such as heavy industry, energy, banking, agriculture, information technology and tourism, have been involved in working towards Cuba," Chernyshenko said.
The presence of Russian companies in Cuba in the near future will have a positive impact on bilateral trade figures, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
