Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo has hailed China's visionary "two mountains" concept as a key guide for future global development. Protecting nature, he said, also means protecting the future of humanity.
Mozambique, which boasts 3 000 kilometres of coastline and rich ecological resources, builds its development on nature conservation, protected areas and thriving tourism. President Chapo stressed that other countries around the world should follow the same path.
"Preserving nature is the greatest certainty for the future," he said, calling for the adoption of a concept that remains an inspiration for sustainable development even twenty years after its introduction.
