Xi Jinping honours fallen heroes in Tian'anmen Square

President Xi Jinping along with other Chinese officials, laid floral wreaths on Tian'anmen Square in Beijing on the occasion of the Day of the Fallen Heroes. This year, China commemorates 80 years since the victory in the fight against Japanese aggression and in the World War against Fascismas well as 12th anniversary of the Day of the Fallen Heroeswhich was introduced in 2014.

The commemoration became a symbol of respect for those who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence and a reminder of the historical significance of the courage of the Chinese people in difficult times.
