The „Global Governance, Youth Action“ media event, organized by China Media Group (CMG), was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The theme of the event was „Youth Dialogue on Global Governance, co-creating a modern future for China and Africa“. Shen Haixiong, Deputy Director of the Central PR Department of the Communist Party of China and General Manager of CMG, delivered a written speech.
In his speech, Shen Haixiong said that President Xi Jinping, with the future and destiny of mankind in mind, has put forward a global governance initiative that has received wide international acclaim. The recent Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China set the course for China's future development, and China Media Group remains firmly committed to engaging, connecting and empowering young people around the world.
Thanks to the CMG's global broadcast network, which includes 85 languages, the CGTN integrated media platform and 192 international stations, new platforms for collaboration, sharing collective wisdom and discussion will be created. The main objective is to showcase stories of young people from different countries working hand in hand, to promote mutual understanding through intellectual exchange, to build consensus by converging views, and to create shared development opportunities to contribute together for a better future.
