Jan Hrnčíř, an MEP for Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD), has reignited the debate on migration. In the next part of the interview for GNEWS.cz openly admitted his fears of a new wave of migration, which he said could come as a result of the unrest in the Middle East and Africa.

Hrnčíř recalled the experience of 2015, when the conflict in Syria triggered a massive influx of migrants to Europe. In his view, a similar scenario could happen again. „These crises have always meant a new wave of migration,“ warned.
He also directed harsh criticism at the European Union's migration policy. In his view, the so-called migration pact does not solve the essence of the problem, but merely introduces a system of redistributing migrants among the Member States. „It's not about border protection, it's about quotas,“ They claim.
The MEP also points out that, in his opinion, security and integration issues are not being sufficiently addressed. He criticised the fact that Europe, in his view, is accepting people who do not want to adapt to local conditions and is focusing on redistribution instead of prevention.
The Czech government led by Petr Fiala has also become a target of criticism. Hrnčíř accuses it of enabling the adoption of the migration pact and failing to defend the interests of the Czech Republic.
The issue of migration thus remains one of the most explosive political issues - and such statements only confirm that the dispute over access to it will continue to escalate.
