South Korean investigators from the anti-corruption investigation unit left the presidential residence on Friday after failing to arrest ousted President Yoon Suk Yeol. The Corruption Investigation Office for Senior Officials (CIO) said the ongoing confrontation made it virtually impossible to execute the arrest warrant issued by a Seoul court on Tuesday. It was the first time in the country's modern history that an arrest warrant has been issued against a sitting president. South Korea's Constitutional Court said Friday that hearings on Yoon's impeachment will be held on Jan. 14 and 16. CGTN brings the latest information.
