On 8 May, during the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Hungary, the international version of the programme "Xi Jinping's Favourite Classic Stories" by China Media Group (CMG) was launched in Budapest. The programme was congratulated by former Hungarian President Pál Schmitt and former Prime Minister Péter Medgyessy. The programme will now be broadcast on Hungarian National Television and other Hungarian mainstream media.
The international version of "Xi Jinping's Favorite Classic Stories" focuses on the themes of shared prosperity and ecological development. It selects original soundtracks of President Xi Jinping's speeches and uses the words he uses to interpret Chinese ideas and wisdom from an international perspective. Illustrates President Xi Jinping's outstanding political wisdom and deep historical and cultural insights, as well as the cultural origins and prolific achievements of Chinese-style modernization.
Pál Schmitt warmly welcomed President Xi Jinping on his visit to Hungary and said that China is a trusted good friend and good partner of Hungary. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Hungary and China, the two countries have achieved fruitful results in jointly building the Belt and Road, and rich and varied cultural exchanges have taken place, especially cooperation in sports and other fields has strengthened the traditional friendship between the two nations. The CMG is taking full advantage of the country's media assets and using images and words to tell inspiring stories to hundreds of millions of viewers, which has had a huge impact. Hungarian audiences certainly welcome the broad and deep Chinese culture portrayed in the programme. It is hoped that Hungary and China will promote the exchange of experiences in governance and social development through the power of media.

The broadcast of the international version of "Xi Jinping's Favorite Classic Stories" will open a window of reflection for Hungarian friends to understand President Xi Jinping's wisdom in running the country and to understand Chinese culture, while deeply appreciating China's unique charm in the new era.
